I have had the complete joy of counting Lindsey, otherwise known as Mimzy or Mimz, as one of the most dear friends and blessings life can give. Our love of all things old, dusty, tarnished and possibly rusty, has given us joy and a unique bond. Who else can I call on a Saturday AM to talk about the amazing 70’s flower power suitcase or beautiful 40’s hat I just found? Our friendship was forged with our crazy days in the AirTran call center, FAR TOO many nights at the Border, getting gas station Cookie Monster ice cream, or pretending to be sister wives to illicit as many side eyes as possible. We have seen each other through some of life’s hardest moments, always being right there when the other was needed. She has held my daughters and loved them with all of her heart and has given them the precious gift of being their chosen family. We have laughed and cried through almost 20 years together and it is my honor to stand with her as she joins her life with Javid.

Javid and I go WAY back to the 1980’s, especially when it comes to our love for 80’s music. One particular song that played most on repeat was, “Pump up the Volume” by artist MARRS, which would always make us dance our socks off! Javid was a comedian back in the day and could always make you laugh with many of his impersonations.
Whenever we went on road trips as kids, he made his love for sports cars known with a startling shriek, “Omg!, Look at that Porsche, Lamborghini or Ferrari!” Our bond for sports cars grew from a young age, and still to this day you can hear us ranting back and forth about the latest models.
As his little sister, I always looked up to Javid and I cherished our bond as we grew up into adults. Although we might have been apart for a while as I ventured off to Philly for 18 years, I made my way back to becoming a Jersey girl again, and have become closer to him now with Lindsey.
When Javid and Lindsey met, I knew instantly they were a match, from their love of antiques, travel, hiking, and passion for good food. It is with great pleasure to have Lindsey join our family and share our family’s culture. Looking forward to making many more memories with the happy couple!
I am Javid's step-cousin, and I had the pleasure of meeting Jay, also known as Juicy J, shortly after relocating from Germany to Austin. Javid lived with us in Austin during the early 2000s. Our shared love for delicious Italian cuisine strengthened our bond, particularly as we enjoyed watching movies and shows together, especially when he introduced me to The Sopranos. Now that we both live on the East Coast, we're still making unforgettable memories together, cherishing our friendship every step of the way.
I may not have known my Aunt Mimzy the longest, but I would take bets that she loves me the most! I was a mere 15 months old when my ever present Mimz thought I might actually be able to say Lindsey.
Well, she was wrong because I was a baby, lol. And the best I could do was say Mimzy and it stuck. Some of my favorite memories with my Aunt Mimz involve her perfect kitty Baxter, hot tubbing chips at the Border, and her sharing her love of crafting, calligraphy, and yarn… yarn… and even more yarn lol. I am so thankful to have a loving Mimzy who supports me and encourages me every step of the way. Now, I get to support her and Jay as they start their journey together. My message to both Jay and Mimz, keep loving each other, keep loving all things old, and send me more pictures of Christopher!

My friendship with Javid aka DJ Javs began in the Rutgers freshman dorms in 1998. Even then, he showed a refined taste in dance music, and demonstrated a knack for throwing great parties that was to develop into the stuff of legend. We bonded over going to all the basketball and soccer games (GO RU!), working out (I owe my proper running form to his careful tutelage), and recounting the evenings that I look back on fondly as taking our bar-hopping baby steps (favorite haunt being 'The Olive Branch').
We had a reunion in Lake Tahoe, CA in the early 2000’s, where we lived our best lives working at Heavenly ski resort and taking memorable road trips to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Through the years, I feel very fortunate to have stayed in contact, cheering one another on as we open and close chapters of our lives. I’ve always appreciated Javid’s generous spirit and the thoughtful touch he puts into all he does.
I met Lindsey in our first-grade classroom at Ranburne Elementary, and she’s been one of my very best friends ever since. Growing up, we bonded over our shared love for old Hollywood, seeing the world beyond our small town, and Leonardo DiCaprio (in his Titanic era). The tales of the teenage years are too many to share here, but unfortunately for us, there is video evidence. Our friendship has endured life’s highs and lows and often separation by thousands of miles as we embarked on our own adventures, mine to CA and hers here to NJ/NY. We’ve laughed together and cried together and even fought a few times, though never for long. I’m thankful that no matter the distance, our conversations always pick right back up just where we left them. I’m so very excited to be a part of Lindsey and Javid’s wedding this June, and I wish them all the love and happiness wherever this next journey takes them!!!
